On the positive side, it was his non dominant hand. He even took the first CPA exam last week waiting for surgery.

Yes, he has had a concussion, cleat in the eye socket (no break), shoulder into the larynx, and those are the things I was made aware of. Likely more.

I told him he could resume rugby playing when he was on his employer's health insurance. He has a job starting in July after he finishes his masters. Before this, he was contemplating joining a rugby league in NYC.

#3 gets home today for Thanksgiving break - and for post surgery break after he broke his index and middle finger metacarpals (palm bones) when a 250 lb rugby player's knee landed on them with his full weight and high velocity and snapped both bones in two places. No pins. Just plates and screws.

Dadof3 went up for the surgery and is his luggage valet for his trip down.

Full recovery will take 6 months. Stitches come out the Monday after Thanksgiving.

They should mix it up with 7-6

That's what my oldest would have done at that age.

That's Tufts - so who knows how much trickles down to your MD. Then, they likely get bonuses for meeting certain benchmarks too.

Just looked at a fairly recent Form 990 filed by them. A lot more money could be directed at you GP already. A fair number of people making $1 million +

My husband had this happen to him 8 years ago with his GP. He went in for an annual well-check up and mentioned that something was bothering him - nothing big like heart, lung, kidneys, etc. She said, I don't have time for that today. Make another appt.

Part of the issue is that doctors get so little for well check ups. Looking at my last EOB for routine health visit by my GP (who spent 30 minutes with me), she got $99 and change from Anthem. Factor in her liability insurance, offices expenses, staff cost, etc, that's not a lot.

Also, I got a warm glow reading some of my fave commenters that aren't here anymore, including Ofkie.
