A good teacher can make all the difference in the world. My sister was very dyslexic back in the late 70's. No such thing as IEPs back then. She didn't get any help at all from the public school, but thank goodness my parents finally got her tested - but not til 6th grade! A private tutor was hired and she went from 2nd grade reading/writing in 6th grade and caught up in 8th grade. Fast forward to her post college years, she was an assistant VP at Lotus (that ages things doesn't it!) but would still have me read/edit her emails from time to time when she was tired before sending out. If she got tired, her dyslexia kicked in.

I'm telling you all this because an amazing teacher can really fix things and super fast! You caught it so early and have a plan. The rest will take of itself as evidenced by her massive smile.

Well done mom!

#1 kiddo was just assigned a hazardous waste site in Santa Clarita to become the project manager on its clean up. She is hoping that this PM job is mostly remote, or at least no travel until fall.

Ok, I was about to stalk you on social media because I wanted to ask you about this Lindsay Clancy trial and your thoughts around, well just about everything. How she was overmedicated, refused treatment because she was too drugged up, the insanity plea, etc.

I felt you might have an interesting perspective.

I had a work Zoom today. Working with priests, we always have a quick prayer before we start our meeting. Usually it is revolves around blessing our work, encouraging us to use the talents we bring to the table, etc...

Today, this 85 year old Jesuit said, "God Bless Dolly Parton! May we all give as freely and generously to the betterment of the world as she did."

Then he poured himself a cup of ambition and we began the meeting.

Whenever I haven eaten them (less than 10 chips in total) the texture kills me. I makes me imagine that it is pre-chewed food that has been spit out, reshaped into a semblance of its natural form and then air dried.

BLECH.
