I read about this very thing about 5 minutes ago. Yowsa. Sounds like that it could really change the landscape of the west coast beach areas. On the plus side, it is likely to make some good surfing if you are into that kinda thing..

It is named after the Everglades Plantation Company. Started in the early 1900's, it was a totally unsuccessful attempt to grow rice and other crops after filling in part of the everglades.

"Let's name our town after a big failure!"

It is near Ft. Lauderdale.

Commented on other thread. So I have to go to Plantation Fl to verify my identity in person. Ft Myers, the nearest IRS office, isn't taking appts. So off I go on 11//5.

TSA workers now can't sit while they check your ID. A standing, TSA agent with sore feet is supposed to make the experience more 'elevated.'

There is nothing elevated about airport security at all. I just is what it is. This is stupid.

Spoke too soon. I need to go to an IRS office to verify my identity. Of course, Ft Myers is the nearest one and it isn't scheduling appts now. So I have to drive 111 miles to Plantation, Fl to do this. On 11/5

We are owed a fair bit of money - mid 5 figures. But dummy us. We overpaid. That's never happening again. It is soooo hard to get a hold of someone now.

On the positive side, I got right in this am -zero wait time.. On hold as we speak while he verifies some things, but all good.
