In NYC freezing my ass off for my husband's work holiday party. I'm glad I'm not wearing a dress or skirt tonight.

Pet peeve around dress code for work holiday parties. Invite said business casual or festive if you like. WTF does that mean for me? Hedge fund guys can wear sweats to work if they want. It is going to be a mish mosh of clothing. It leaves me unsettled. Fingers crossed my black trousers and silk blouse will do the job.

If you don't mind me asking, what type of plan do you have? Advantage?

I'm dreading Dadof3 getting on in 3 years. He might just have to keep working longer because those issues would drive him nuts.

All she would have had to do is shut her computer screen. She had an answer prepared because other pals in her job hunting process had similar questions from companies to which they'd been applying.

The fact this is a thing - is crazy.

It isn't even basically an AI, it is AI. She was obviously applying for entry level positions and I suppose this is one way that doesn't use people power to screen candidates. Probably 75% of the jobs she applied for used an AI bot to ask questions that not only recorded her voice but videotaped her - so she had to get all dressed up for an AI bot.

She heard something like this might happen so she had an answer prepared. Something like, "I don't have enough information to understand who I would trust better."

When my daughter was applying for jobs post college, she'd get these weird video bot interviews where an African American man and an Asian woman would show up on the screen. She was then asked the question, "Who would you trust more?"

I mean WTF
