So, on each leg of my trip I have found a little Izakaya/bar as my relax nightcap spot, and at each one so far they have played the most amazing B side American music. Like mid 60s to 70s, kind of obscure stuff. It's been an unexpected comfort. Right now I am listening to Quadrophenia and i am so confused how these 20 something Japanese bartenders know and clearly dig this music.
