Happy New Year! I actually went down to the inauguration and holy great baby jeezus lord almighty was it freezing outside! My friend and I got there about 11 am and stayed until 3:30. I'm happy I went because I felt like it was good to turn out in numbers, but most likely will never do it again.

So far New York hasn't collapsed as of *checks time* 7:12 am, but we've still got time before lunch.

Thanks:) I told myself that I'm signing on for a year and see where I'm at. The main thing is that I would end up regretting it if I had never tried. I think there are more opportunities for me if I do this, so we'll see....

Thanks! The company I work for was acquired about a year and 1/2 ago. In the summer, the overlords came down and announced that they were moving the company to CT. (grr). So basically, I am being forced under gunpoint to move (lol).

But, I do super love the apartment which I'm grateful for. I didn't want to resent moving (even though I'm keeping my apartment in the city). It's just down the street from Yale. I'm curious what it will be like when it's in session and students are around.

I think ultimately, I'll start enjoying it up there. I like my team and my office. And, I've already found some meetup groups that look interesting and a café I like, so that's good.

Lol. Nope! I am dying to get a cat but am not going to for the moment. However, I *am* moving end January. I just got the lease to the apartment and everything. Going to come back to the city on weekends though.
