I haven't watched any LPs, so I can't help you there, but YES I LOVE THE ART SO MUCH. <3 <3 <3 It's so adorable and expressive and COLORFUL, can you believe people derided it (and still deride it) for looking "kiddy"??? I mean, yes, obviously art taste is subjective, but I think WW is just a thoroughly gorgeous game that does NOT look its age and definitely looks better than a lot of games from the same era (or later, even) with more "realistic" art styles.

I had the same feelings on Ages vs. Seasons, I generally had more fun with the puzzle emphasis, even if a couple of the dungeons tested every last scrap of patience I had. As for Twinrova, yeah, I definitely enjoyed the fight in OOT more (an understatement, as the OOT Twinrova remains one of my favorite boss battles in the series). Ganon was almost an anticlimax after the difficulty of that, although not entirely unwelcome tbh.

I have no real opinion on which version of the timeline I prefer for these games and Link's Awakening, but I do like something I saw posited on TVTropes about LA being connected to the Oracle games via retcon. That is to say, the retcon kind of makes LA Farore's game, and it makes sense because Din's game tested your Power via the combat emphasis, Nayru's tested your Wisdom via the puzzle focus, and what did LA test? Link's courage via overcoming the Nightmares (and his own nightmares via the shadow versions of Agahnim and Ganon) and having to make the hard choice to wake the Wind Fish even knowing what it meant for Koholint. I really like that interpretation!

Anyway, congrats on beating it! :D I can't wait to see your Wind Waker posts!
