I do miss that show. I like that red-haired waitress (the human one) best, I think. She reminds me of... people I know. :D I like the black female too, the LaFayette's cousin. Even my husband comments she's probably the most Balkan American television character. And she looks so stern all the time, I love it.

Well, thank you for talking to me about it, rather than to others about me.

I apologize for offending you - it wasn't my intention at all. I just assumed people would laugh. :) I still can't believe they didn't, actually. And the... drama... reaction is just so... I'm only 29, but I just can't relate anymore.

Anyway... I hope you recognize my intention was not to offend, or even be all that risque. I just assumed people would laugh and say, "Hey, you're right! It is kind of shitty for a bunch of rich white people to have minority children on to perform for them..."

I actually think "This is a minstrel show" is a far more appropriate description of what happened. ;)

But... if you actually do disagree with the tone, then that's... the full extent of my possible defenses :D You'll just have to be offended.

But I didn't mean to offend you, or anyone. I just assumed people would laugh, like the Nicole Kidnam/Botox joke. I thought I was on a roll, hahaha...

But... I should have known, I suppose. ;) I keep getting sucked into these sorts of conversations yet I've never started one myself, not that I recall. I just don't... make a habit to go around, getting offended. And I rarely confront anyone who does offend me, especially if that obviously, clearly was not their intention.

Well, I fail to see how the sentiment it expresses is any different that things said by other people - even ones acting offended here:
