"A cruel dictatorship that seemed frightening until last year has taken everything away from them. They are not allowed to wear what they want, to eat what they want, to pick the major that they want in school, to fall in love, to go to parties or out with their friends without risking being arrested, to find the job that they like, to be happy, to listen to the music that they like, or to even have free access to the internet. They do not even have the option of escaping this suffocating environment."

This is what an all-powerful Government running on oppressive ideologies gets you.

I hope the people of Iran escape it, and the US stops marching towards it.

No matter what the issue is, his message continues to be: "Look unto the evil Republican party, and despair. Fear them, I say FEAR THEM!!!"

Who's the party of "fear" again?

Want to eliminate wasteful spending in education? Eliminate the US Department of Education, pull the Federal Government completely out of it, and leave oversight to individual States. Also, leave local taxes allocated for education within local government, instead of siphoning it off into a state general (slush) fund to be spent on God knows what.

That would be a good start.

Wow, a political ad with no dirt, mud-slinging, name-calling...bizarre in this day and age.

But classy. Very classy.

Hope to be seeing more in the next month where she addresses the issues.
She's a lot stronger on those than the MSM has been giving her credit for, and that's what really needs to get out there.

Aaron Sorkin: "Let's ignore the fact that my father..."

That's what your father did. That's what your grandfather did. That is what made them Americans.

They, are not you.

What have you done?

The "intellectual elite" on the left call it "moral relativism": the idea that there is no such thing as good or evil, only opposing perspectives that are equally legitimate. They believe that accepting the premise of moral relativism makes them more "enlightened".

I subscribe more to Dietrich Bonhoeffer, who said, "Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act."

In Dante's Inferno, that would be the Ninth Circle, Caïna: Traitors to Family.
Inhabitants include Cain (who murdered his brother, Abel) and Mordred (who murdered his father, King Arthur).
They are buried in a field of ice with only their faces exposed, "the place / where shame can show itself".
