I'm such a goody-two-shoes RPG player, I always play the super helpful paragon type for some reason, so it is a lot of fun reading about you gleefully stabbin' and stealin' and sassin' xD

I'm probably not going to comment too much so I don't accidentally spoil. But I wanted to say that I am so excited that you are playing my very favorite game series. And I think this format is really enjoyable and works perfectly with the sort of game this is.

Oh, Alistair... this is a game that starts out so serious and grimdark and full of tragedy, and then you meet Alistair, who is hilarious and charming... it's so refreshing! You're pretty much guaranteed to like him.

Also, I like that you're going to use your poop key to get good shit. XD

I love this chapter so, so much. Lyra describing what will happen to the ghosts when they leave the world of the dead is just beautiful. It's also one of the most blatantly atheist moments in the entire series so far; not just anti-Christian, but a positive aspect of atheist thought. (I feel like atheists are often seen as or portrayed as negative happiness-ruiners, but to me, there is actually a lot about atheism that is very positive or even beautiful.) Love it.

I've been thinking for a few chapters now that this is kind of the opposite of the end of the Narnia series, with people *escaping* "Heaven" and returning to the world, and THAT being joyous, instead of dying somehow being good because HEAVEN. (Assuming the ghosts DO get out of the world of the dead... O.o )

I don't think it was Pullman being misleading. Roger IS the betrayal in the prophecy. The line about the prophecy being fulfilled now is referring to the second part, about it hurting Lyra terribly. The only reason she wanted to go to the world of the dead badly enough to give up her own soul is BECAUSE she betrayed Roger.

I kind of hate dragonflies too... the little pretty blue and green ones are okay, as long as they stay away from me, but the big ones? UGGHHHHHH GROSS. I used to be a lifeguard and there would always been dragonflies hanging around the pool, and sometimes I'd see a pair flying around while mating =( So, so gross ><

I didn't know that, either! That is pretty awesome. I definitely need to pick up TLA (it did come out, right? I had heard it was delayed again or something but that wasn't actually the case? Comic books are confusing), and the art book! Anything for more Avatar... /pathetic fangirl
