The polls have been weird tonight. The Public Policy Poll is saying that more independents say Obama won the debate, but more are shifting their votes to Romney.

The way it appears to me is that voters think Obama won the debate on aggressiveness and snark, but didn't win them over as voters. He looked petty next to Romney and that had the bigger impact. Romney played the long game with this one and I think it worked.

You may be right about the ego thing- and that may drive him to want the reelection. But I don't think for a second he actually wants the job. He just wants the glory.

Honestly I don't think Obama cares if he's reelected or not. I think he'd be perfectly happy to be the former president so he could just travel, make speeches, play golf and hobnob with celebrities.

So the intelligence community didn't know anything about imminent attacks on the Libyan embassy-- but we should trust them to *know* when Iran has a weapon to launch their nukes? How does that work Joe? Are we supposed to trust the intelligence community or not?
