Great article! I think a big danger is to brush things off as 'oh, it's harmless', when really everything we feed into our minds and hearts has an effect. It may be small, but it is cumulative. We must always be on our guard. Nothing paranoid about that...it's just the way it is for now:
"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." Ephesians 6:12

I'm a big Erasure fan, have been for years. I think Andy Bell is an amazing singer. Having said that, it's a pity that he had to be so flamboyant and 'in your face' about his sexuality. The music dosn't need it, but perhaps he felt compelled to use his celebrity status to push his agenda. I still enjoy his music, although sometimes it does make it more difficult to 'connect' with it when I envision just what may have inspired him to write a specific love ballad, ect.

I hope Adam dosen't cave to media pressure and become just another 'gay icon'...I think it diminishes the music in a way, and can isolate potential fans...let the music inspire each individual who listens to it, without an agenda attached.

Interesting fact I just read..."According to a study released by the Center for Media and Public Affairs, Obama received more TV coverage in the first 50 days of his regime than George Bush and Bill Clinton -- combined."

Not sure what the stats were for publications, but I'm sure it's similar....

Leader of the free world and fashion plate...guess People just can't help themselves, eh?

During my weekly trip to the dr., I notice that People has to place at least one photo/article, if not more, of the Obamas somewhere in their magazine in EVERY issue. They also had a little call-out box in their mail section a week or 2 ago stating that most readers were 'disappointed' by Palin's abstinence stand and the fact that her daughter became pregnant, with one printed letter calling Palin a hypocrite. Top quality reading, that People mag!

I do own a .38, but if you have recommendations on a good holster, it would be appreciated! I currently carry it in a 'hidden' compartment in my purse, but would much rather carry it on myself...it's just hard to find a holster that can be concealing enough..

One of my friends who is a self-proclaimed liberal is already showing signs of voter-remorse. She, like many others I know, bought into the 'warm fuzzy' mumbo jumbo and neglected to do her homework before voting. His warm smile, endearing prose and grand (unfulfilled) promises have not helped her husband who has been out of work for almost a year, nor has it helped them pay the ever-mounting bills and mortgage payments. In fact, she has seen first hand how being diligent in her mortgage payments has denied her help, while those who were irresponsible receive gov't assistance. Although Obama's approval rating according to mainstream media is still high, I wonder what would happen if we had a do-over.

Great article, Mr Graham! Keep 'em coming :)
