I doubt it will be a double dip (as in, they won't be re-releasing the complete series). However, the timing is wrong and this will have to be released separately.

So... didn't he just say that there are a lot of new robots in this movie? And that's still not good enough?

Personally, I think there has always been a road map for this franchise -- first film plays it safe, tells a human perspective story and introduces us to the Transformers (gotta get John Q. Mainstream Moviegoer if you want to pay for those effects). Second film rolls into a more robot-centric story. This is fine by me, and what I'm expecting from the second one.

Technically, neither Moon or The Hurt Locker is officially out yet. So Up would be the first great film of 2009. Moon is next, then Hurt Locker. Get with the release date program, Hunter.
