I actually think he should be treated a little more harshly, after all, he is put out there are a role model for kids and this certainly is not behavior they should be mimicking. I had a friend in high-school killed by a drunk driver, there is never a reason to drive under the influence.

It wouldn't apply to either situation. The legal age of consent in Washington is 16 providing that the person they are sleeping with is not more than 60 months (5 years) older than the minor, and not in a position of authority over said minor. I don't normally cite Wikipedia, but I checked the RCW's that they referenced and they checked out, so here is that link.

There really is no excuse for someone to drink and drive, especially someone who can more than afford a cab or a private driver.

Perhaps she was armed with a way to protect herself and he was able to disarm her. This is an incomplete story that does not contain all the facts. My former sister-in-law used to work in downtown Tacoma years ago and got off work late at night. She carried a .38 and was attacked while walking to her car, guess who ended up with the gun.

No where in the story does it say she followed him to his car. Yes, it says she ran away, yes it says she was able to provide a possible license plate number. Perhaps he got out of the car before assaulting her and she took note of the license plate at that point. This is clearly an incomplete story, and to jump to the conclusion that you know the whole story based on the few facts that have been released to the media is simply foolish.
