"Just because you don't agree with their policy doesn't mean that they are outmoded. Principals are princpals. Kudos to them for standing by them."

The KKK has principals and stands by them but would you say the same about supporting them?

These principals of exclusion and prejudiced run through both groups.

One does it on the basis of race and religion, and the other does it on orientation and religion; so little difference.

Oh, no.

I just think this 'republic governed by laws' was set up from the start to serve the wealthy and powerful business interests from the beginning with a facade that it was 'of, by, and for the people'.

This is why Ben Franklin was so opposed to it. This is why Jackson's Administration was such a scandalous rabble of commoners, but he could not have gotten into office without the support of the wealthy land owners of the South itching to move onto Cherokee lands. They pulled the strings from behind the curtain, as the supporters of politicians still do today.

What?

We are a republic and always have been, also Hitler took over a republic and became dictator. This is similar to the way Julius Cesar took control of the Roman republic.

As for the Electoral College, it was put in place to ensure the 'enlightened elite' could keep the people in check.

I'll tell that to the drowning polar bears and the ignore the loss of glaciers in glacier national park.

This misinformation is not comforting at all.

At least until the increased hurricanes and tornadoes wipe them out.

Shame that this will become our knew reality.

I have however, noticed news coverage slowly changing as it is harder to hide the affects of climate changes.

For example, I recall Rush denied that the climate was changing during the 1990s; then in the 2000s he changed to say it was happening but it was not caused by humans. Who knows what he will be saying by the end of the 2010s.

Corporate media wants to avoid the subject as their advertisers object to it with their pocketbooks, and they can never say humans are the cause of this event.

They ignore that we were warned by government scientists during the Regan Administration. They ignore the fact that the CO2 level in the atmosphere have not been this high since the dinosaurs. They ignore how the CO2 got pumped out of the ground and into the air.

Inconvenient facts never get reported attention equal to the danger.

"The greedy and the power hungry have been trying to change our system since its inception to suit their vision of a perfect world."

Actually the greedy and power hungry prefer this current system that they control.

We the people are sidelined in the republic, this is all too apparent with when the Supreme Court rules that money is a form of speech and therefor can't be limited; to the Electoral College picking our President.

"If you want to join Boy Scouts dont drum out loud that you're gay."

Yes, lying is a Boy Scout virtue. (sarcasm off)
