Seems worthwhile to remember that Toure was one of those on the air for Racebaitgate, when the MSNBC crew selectively edited footage of a black man with an AR-15 assault rifle to make it seem as if he MIGHT be white, and as if white people MAY BE planning to assassinate Obama.

It might have been ten years or more since Norman Mailer wrote about "virtual reality reasoning" in an issue of Playboy magazine.

But in the case of people like Janeane Garofalo, it's clearly true.

Mailer described virtual reality thinking as a closed system of thought. Nothing from outside the system can be brought inside the system. Not only can no answers be found that aren't already locked into the system, but no questions that aren't already locked into the system can be asked.

In the case of Janeane Garofalo, it's clear what's locked into the system: racism.

Why do conservatives politically oppose Barack Obama? Racism.
Why do cosneravtives politcally support Human Cain? Racism.

She can find no other answer, because the ideological thought system she's locked herself into will literally allow no other answer. It's simultaneously a form of intellctual laziness and intellectual cowardice.

I'm with you on everything up to "liberalism is a mental disorder" (it's an excerable argument).

I think the punchline for the left is "you're racist. No matter what."

I severely doub that Janeane Garofalo would agree to appear on the show. Actually share BREATHING SPACE with a CONSERVATIVE? Ick. Ick. Icky.

I doubt Garofalo would allow herself the indignity of having to share a conversation with a brilliant, articulate, accomplished, black conservative. People like Garofalo are very adept at preserving their narrow and shallow worldview. It generally involves hit-and-run tactics, and a LOT of hiding out from any unwelcome truths that might serve to shatter their delusions.

No. No one hears it.

Janeane shouldn't worry. She can still win the role of intellectual stalking horse for a pile of horse dung.

When your tripe is so vile that Rachel Maddow can't repeat it with a smirk, you know you've lost the left.
