Virtual hugs to Mark and to all who could use them. I cried my way through this chapter, thinking of Granny, thinking of Pratchett, and thinking of my father who passed some 8 years ago now from cancer. I also lost 3 co-workers to cancer over the past 10 years. I cried but I also found comfort in the way this was written. I was worried about Mark and was happy to see in the post for the first chapter, that those in the know had given him trigger warnings.

I enjoyed this book for the most part. I gave it a lot of slack given the circumstances of when it was written in terms of Pratchett’s health. I have to agree with most of the criticisms pointed out along the way. In addition to those, I was a bit unhappy that everyone else got a medal and Moist didn’t. That seemed unnecessarily harsh and somewhat out of character given how far Moist has come in his dealings with Veternari. What I enjoyed most about the book was the chance to say goodbye to so many of the characters from past novels.

I am so sorry to hear that Baize is gone. He seemed like such a neat person when I saw him with you in the Steven Universe videos. Virtual hugs to you. Take care of yourself. We’ll be here when you feel able to return.

Thank you for this analysis of the deadly sins. It's well thought out and it helps clarify things wonderfully. I really appreciate it! :)

I don't think this is my cup of tea at all. I hated that A Call to Arms ended on such a negative note, and forgave it because it was the pilot for this series. However, knowing we will only get half a season means that they won't solve the problem before what we have of the series ends. ugh.

I'm also finding the needless drama of the technomage stuff kind of exhausting, to be honest.

I thought somehow that he had 13 fingers on his hands and the jar contained some kind of frog pill equivalent that he was going to use to treat Hubert if necessary. It never occurred to me that there were fingers in the jar! lol

I'm watching the show for the first time, and I have to agree with all of your points here. It feels as though it would be a better story if he had died then. Alternatively, the writing could have been better post-resurrection and avoided many of these problems!
