I know that twitter will definitely not moderate any of these fun meme's as they'd have to face the backlash from the community. Honestly, its just an opinion that I have and the idea behind this post was to find out that what exactly others think about this.

I'm still in favor of the fact that twitter should actually moderate the fun meme's as they really don't add that much value. As you said that trending topics are mirror of what is happening across the twitter universe - but it definitely isn't the mirror for a group of people who are interested in making a topic to trend just for fun. We all literally jumped on making jaljeera a trending topic with no real purpose but fun, I'm sure that there is more space for better topic than just fun :)

Although, I have to say that It was fun working with you all on making the jaljeera topic as a trend and as you said that there are people who won't give a damn about this.

I can assure you that it's not a computer generated article, its just that my tech skills need to be brush up a lot! I'm trying hard to ensure that I can start contributing again and that too without silly mistakes like these.

LOL! I'm sure I'll die the moment I'll write 10,000th reason and will not be able to publish the post even :P Yeah its free and its cool. I was supposed to write down each and every task but couldn't do it for various reasons that I've mentioned in one of the latest posts. I assure that I'll keep up to the promise and will finish this series for sure.

I agree that most of the people face the same problem and that's why around 10 freelancers near my area have decided to get together and take up an office. This will ensure we'll be able to work in schedule and will be way more disciplined as before.

I was talking about inorbit's free wi-fi connection. It worked fine for few days, however after that it started running really slow. May be some jack-ass would have forgotten to close his torrent software :P

I agree that when money is involved this tend to get messy. However, the management can keep it this way that the money that is generated will be used to pay hosting bills, office expenses and similar stuff or basically keeping the money that they decide to raise through donations and all extra that gets generated can be donated to the needy NGOs.

I doubt that advertisers will mind anything as Google adsense is contextual, so they'll get relevant traffic.. that they'll not mind.

Hmm, you are going back in those days when I was not that much active and didn't know about this particular incident. Apart from that, don't you think that its been now 6 yrs and that Wikipedia has grown as much larger community and that I think there will be no harm in trying to ask the community through polls and through various blogs to see that how they'll react, just a proposal. What say?

Thanks for dropping by! That's interesting however that stubborn attitude will not take them anywhere. I've yet to come across these kind of startups however have experienced the stubborn attitude in large corps. One more thing, I just wish I don't get to meet those kind of startups :)
