Lead by example makes a huge difference in the way children act. The kids I babysit are proof to that. I hope the influence they have at my house has a positive affect on them. You, my friend, definitely have a positive influence on my life. Love ya!

In our are it is National Coffee Day and that means free coffee where ever you go. I've always wondered if it's a regional thing or all over the USA. You'd think since it's "national" it would be welcome everywhere.

I used to like Mondays, when my kids went to school and the house was quiet. Now not so much. My kids are grown and gone, but I get a house full of little ones every Monday morning. Now the house isn't so quiet. =D

I wish I had kitchen windows like that. I have one small one at the sink and it's so high. I love the white floor in the one bedroom photo. I'd never think of that. Although with two muddy dogs, it would not be practical. Ooooooooohh the purple room! Of course that one is my favorite!!

I totally get where you are coming from. When my boys were your kids age, I had so much going on and needed to stick to a schedule/routine or all hell would break loose (at least it seemed like it at the time). My grandparents were notorious for stopping by unannounced. I wish I spent the time listening to them instead of worrying what else I could have been doing. Unfortunately they have passed and I cannot change things. Now that my kids have flown the nest, I can say I have relaxed. I still need my routine, but if something happens to mess that up a bit, I can handle it much better. My husband says it's wisdom that comes with age. I say its my medication. ;-D

I get comments from people who tell me I am skinny. I may not weigh a lot, but I am still self conscious of my body. I hate wearing swim suits and will never get into a bikini every again (thanks to baby stretch marks). Bravo to you! I'm sure you will look GREAT!

6 more days until Christmas!! Have you got all your shopping done? I haven't! Between my son's ice hockey games and working late hours... I haven't had much time at all. Thanks goodness for On-line shopping!!
I wrote out Christmas cards. Hardly got any though. I used to get a lot and I would keep them in a basket until I put my decorations away. Now my basket is pretty much empty. Seems like the world of electronics has taken over the postal system. I don't know if I will write cards next year.

I am beginning to feel the affects of age. I need glasses and hearing aides. I've always had issues with my hearing since I was little, so I suppose that doesn't count. =D My waist line has begun to get saggy though. ugh!

A friends daughter has her birthday on Christmas. They have a birthday party in October for her so she doesn't feel slighted on Christmas day.
