My hubby and I had to work hard at this. Even though he teaches it at his marriage retreats, we still have to make sure we are speaking each other's love language. It is so easy to 'speak' your language and it can be such a challenge to 'speak' someone else's ;-)

I bet presenting is exhausting. Hubby usually feels pretty wiped out after a marriage retreat. It's great that you guys did get a lunch :-)

I have no problem speaking up at other kids. Good for you. Someone has to do something about bullying!!! If you don't speak up, something nasty could happen!!

Nice to have the kids off and relax the schedule but sometimes not so fun. I enjoy hearing about Erik, our youngest is about the same age. Do you have the never ending conversation too? It repeats every couple words.

My mom is old school too, but I love my iPad for making lists using Awesome Lists. I haven't tried any coupon apps so I am excited about trying that out!

Hilarious! We also have a friendly competition in our house, mostly over grades.
