"BUSFIELD HISTORY -- at least 5 allegations so far, one at a children's theater program he founded, and they seem to be uncontested. This is from the most recent motion by the prosecution. Busfield has NEVER been convicted.

1994: 17 year old background actor in Little Big League. She took an undisclosed settlement, then Busfield had to pay and addition $150K in legal fees for her.

1999: 16 year old girl auditioning at HIS CHILDREN'S THEATER. Busfield begged them not to report to police and promised he would go to therapy (dad was a therapist, so this struck a chord with them). B Street Theater still exists, and it appears from tax filings that he was recently involved.

2013: 28 year old woman in a movie theater in LA. DA declined to press charges (no word why -- no evidence? she took a settlement?)

2024: An anonymous call to the SAG sexual assault hotline reports that another minor boy (not these twins!) was kissed by a drunk Busfiled while getting his hair cut in MUH.

2022-2024: The current allegations by the two boys of repeated abuse starting when they were 7 years old. He admits to tickling and other inappropriate-for-the-workplace behavior like tickling, carrying the boys, etc. If your child's school teacher did those things to your son, would you accept it as normal?

IMO, THE INDUSTRY FAILED THE BOYS, if the charges are true.
--Nobody hiring gave Busfield's background any weight.
--Sounds like the parents were trying to get help. What else would we expect them to do if they believe their child had been abused.
--There were 2 anonymous reports to SAG-AFTRA (perhaps different offices). Could be parents, could be other witnesses.
--WB did an "independent investigation" by an attorney a year ago. They found no evidence to substantiate the boy's claims, but it doesn't appear the investigator reported anything to CPS. It isn't exactly "independent" though. WB paid for the investigation, and they are the employer that would could liable.
--Parents took the boy to therapy, to a lawyer, and then took him to University of New Mexico hospital. THAT doctor believed there was "reasonable suspicion" and called CPS.
--A PA reported that the kids were often unsupervised. A studio teacher says she "lost sight of them". Busfield attorney says the opposite.
--A witness to the MUH incident of the other boy says there are photos of that.

BAD BUSFIELD BEHAVIOR:
--despite knowing this was being investigated for at least a year, he claims he didn't have an attorney? Not buying it for a second.
--didn't turn himself in when there was a warrant, and US Marshalls were apparently deployed. He sent a video to TMZ before surrendering, and said he had to drive 2000 miles. Yeah, because he couldn't get on a plane. Sorry, not sorry. According to the prosecution, the ego he is exhibiting implies he thinks he is above the law."
