I'm hyped for Sunburst who I hope gonna make an apperance in season 6 so that we see him and Starlight meet again after all this time. After all, him getting a cutiemark and leaving their village was the starting point for cutiemark hating and wanting everypony to be equal Starlight which lead to this whole timetravel mess. xD
Hitler had jewish friends and even was in love with a jewish girl as a young man, yet when he wasn't accepted into the artist school he found way into right extreme groups and we all know what became of him. Sooooooo yeah, just wonder how things might have gone if Hitler had spend years of his life studying art instead of going to war and reading rasicm books and listen to the wrong people.
I think this was more meant as in that nothing Twi tries to do with her magic to beat Starlight will work out as seen with her battle with her which made Rainbow and the bullies stop to watch them fight. Or how Starlight simply dodged to let Twi's shot hit Rainbow instead of her changing the future yet again. So it was less Starlight's magic which was amazing, though it is quite amazing given what she did, and more the situation where Starlight was always a step ahead of Twi who was thrown between the past and the fake futures back and forth.

I don't get the whole Flutterdash comments, when was that shown or said in the finale?
Didn't his cutiemark even sort of had Starlight's cutiemark in it? Sorta like how Shining Armor has Twi's star inside his shield?
See it that way; without her friends Twi would have never become a princess. And if her friend hadn't left for Canterlot, or rather be sent there and for some reason they lost contact with each other, then Starlight would have never felt the need to etablish cutie mark communism and in return get done in by Mane6 to then take her revenge on Twi and doom the world several times in a row.
So yeah, friendship really is pretty damn important in Equestria. Every friendship is, even that of a colt and a filly in some little village who were playing a little book tower game.
I could see a fanfic where Starlight traveled back to the present with Twilight to rip the scroll in two pieces, making this present not a possibility but a reality. The friendship table finally breaks under the timespell pressure and Twilight, Spike and Starlight and stranded in this dystopia. Twilight and Spike will try to make things right and bring peace back for Euqstria and hopefully find a way to return whereas Starlight tries to handle the consequences in this new timeline which were far greater than she had them expected to be.

And perhaps they gonna throw Moondancer into this mix as well. XDDD
