Oh, I totally agree. A thing has been making its way around the tubes that is completely appropriate:

I'm really enjoying the show. The first episode was full of tripe and tropes, but I think each subsequent ep has been pretty great. (Except for the not-moving-out thing, of course. I mean, seriously.)

Wait, Joel is gay in the McAplin-verse? Does that mean Josh is straight? Denise is Hispanic and Eli is Asian? Up is down, cats are marrying dogs... it's INSANITY!

I find myself oddly attracted to Mr. McAlpin's version of Joel. >_>

I love how the lo-fi versions of the characters are starting to become more and more chibi-like.

I didn't even see the candy scene. I stopped watching when 'Mr. Shue' decided he was going to play Rocky. The man is a disgusting pig.

That's another problem I've had with the show since the beginning. They do almost every song as closely to the producers' inspiration as possible. There's no variation or originality. BORING, and not worth watching.

I fucking hate the show. Last season ended on a sour note for me, and this season has all been downhill. I couldn't even finish last night's episode, and I'm done with the series until 'Mr. Shue' is gone. Everyone else is, if not interesting, at least pretty enough to ignore. But the 'Mr. Shue' character is a fucking whiny-ass bitch, and it permeates every single scene he's in--and even many he's not. "Oh, waah! I have to learn a lesson about jealousy and what it means to be a good person but I'm going to forget next week and do it all over again! WAAAH!" Fucking crybaby-ass dick hole. Shut the fuck up and grow a pair.

Oh, and I'm not completely convinced that 'Sue' told 'Becky' to go yell at some "fatties," either....
