In my city in China, a couple of guys came from Australia to open a spiffy new hotel. They organized a match by recruiting other expats, and holy testosterone Batman!, I was not prepared for the crushing manliness on display. So yummy. (I was a female sidelines ogler.)

Everyone one I know who has watched Firefly raves about it; it's my next long-weekend Netflix activity. I'm jumping on this bandwagon a few years too late!

Do you recommend Serenity? If I understand correctly, it's a continuation of Firefly?

Today at lunch with coworkers this blast-from-the-past, terrible 90's song came on the restaurant muzak machine. I kept getting distracted from the conversation by the terrible song lyrics (my coworkers loved me interrupting by blurting out "turn back the hands of time! So cliche!" etc.), so of course I came back to the office to youtube it. And the video is even worse.

Kissing in the warm September rain? Then why are you wearing coats?? I feel listening to this song like I did the day I realized Jake Ryan was a myth; did I really believe this shit as a kid?

Did you drink any 56 or regular baijiu while you were there? I developed a taste for it, but mixed with Coke, fruit juice or Kahlua. Kahlua was hard to get in my city, so when it showed up, we stocked up. I also drank the regular baijiu, but 56 seemed more special, seeing as it was only yi kuai for a small bottle, haha. I got turned onto by a Chinese friend who went to school in Beijing...they drank it keep warm.
