“If this is not thy will, then drop me a line…”
Emerson ily bby, to me you are perfect <3
Not to put too fine a point on it, but it seems like Chuck and Ned are bees in Olive’s bonnet.
“It’s a frickin convent! Show some respect!” “I’m showing you bat crap.”
Ahahahaha Ned is so bashful about alive-againing a nun it’s beautiful.
NUN ON THE RUN, NUN ON THE RUN, NUN ON THE RUN
By-proxy high five! Emerson’s faaace!
I adore Ned’s cookware jealousy and immediate recognition of the chef’s accent
AH THE SHRUG. I forgot what the context of that gif was.
Ned’s so oblivious to Itty-Bitty’s feelings :(
Olive’s mini-tantrum on the cross table! Her disdain for his guessing skills! Covering Lily’s eye!
These nuns aren’t laughing.
Oh, Pigby, no.
Olive. I love you. So, so much. Especially your prayer.
I LOVE THIS EPISODE WITH THE ENTIRETY OF MY SOUL.

But... DIGBY! AND PIDGE! AND INFERRING AND REFERRING! AND LEM/ELSITA'S SYMMETRICAL ROMANCE! AND ELSITA'S SASS! AND LILY'S SNARKFACE! AND A LITTLE BIRDHOUSE IN VIVIAN'S SOUL! AND EMERSON'S GOT PEOPLE, THAT'S SO NEAT! AND NARCOLEPTIC VS. NECROPHILIAC! AND JUST LIKE EVERYTHING!
Also, my favorite line from this episode, "It's a miracle bird! She's swimming in miracles, not disease!"

And oh, Alfredo I love you so much. I can’t even describe the reasons, it’s just an ever-present fact of life.
Also, Olive Snook never fails to deliver on the adorable, even when she’s being a little bit terrifying. “Musing on the idea of setting someone on fire doesn't mean you REALLY want to set them on fire, it's just the thought of it that makes you happy. But only for a second, then you feel bad, but that second could be a lot of fun!” It’s like she knows my soul.

Olive’s scene establishing her as “the jealous yet agile neighbor” is a perfect moment.
I can kind of see where Emerson is coming from with the “wasting my minute” thing. I feel as if the order should be murder investigations first, last requests second.
“Don’t you have any hidden talents or hobbies?” … “I mean regular ones.”
I love Janine from Promotions and her puns.
Chuck wants to pull the lever! I love Ned’s side eye here. Also their high-five via dandelion!
Oh, Olive. I love that you take advantage of the empty Pie-Hole to sing your heart out. I do that kind of thing too. Also, the embarrassed covering of what you’re doing when other people almost notice… eerily familiar. You’re perf, bby.
Also, it makes me sad that Digby is licking her salty tears.
“You love secrets, you wanna marry secrets and have little half-secret half-human babies.”
Awww the hand-holding car! Ilovethisshowandeverythingandeveryoneinitohmygodistheresomekindofsupportgroupforthis???

Pushing Daisies, Pushing Daisies, Pushing Daisies. You glorious acid trip of a fairy-tale television-show hybrid, you. I adore Pushing Daisies with the white-hot intensity of a thousand suns. Who could say why? Is it the black comedy, the bright colors? Is it the glory of seeing Kristin Chenoweth on my screen? Is it the velvety voice of our narrator, Jim Dale, which evokes shining childhood memories of the Harry Potter audiobooks? Is it Lee Pace’s face? Chi McBride’s comic delivery? It may be all of these things, and many more. But what is certain is that Pushing Daisies will forever number among my all-time favorite shows. I could not be more excited for this string of reviews unless someone was paying me to watch this quirky, delightful series.

Of course, it also had to be mentioned that Hugh Laurie is magnificent, as always. It cracks me up that Stephen Fry is lecturing him in the last episode on how a servant should behave. I have no idea whether this was before or after Jeeves and Wooster, but frankly, I think it's fantastic either way.
