Why the ramp-up to push the HealthCare bill? Now that Franken is in the Senate, it's a moot point. There's no need for debate. This is nothing more than a dog-and-pony show. SociaIists/Progressives own the executive and legislative branches of government. There are no more checks and balances in Washington DC.

Our Founding Fathers must be weeping.

I am weeping for them.

When will Americans wake up, stop whining, and actually DO something to restore our Republic?

It seems that many members of the GOP are suddenly obsessed with terminology relating to excrement.

(Recall Boehner's reference to the Cap & Trade bill being a "pile of sh-t".)

I wonder what's behind this new trend. Is it that many members of the GOP now feel that they are standing knee-deep in it? Or that perhaps they're finally fed up with eating it? Or could it be the crappy performance they've all given during their terms in office?

Who knows? Maybe recent polls indicated that the American public gets really revved up hearing stuffy men in suits refer to what comes out of the White House as feces-type matter.

It's a mystery to me.

I take it they lowered the standards for federal employment ... apparently, the ability to spell is no longer a hiring prerequisite. And why should it be? After all, citizenship, a clean criminal background check, and payment of federal taxes are no longer job requirements to work in Washington DC...

Have no doubt: our gub'ment is fuked up...

It never fails. Tell the people that only the "rich" will be taxed to pay for covering the health needs of the poor. Sounds great to low-income households. Unfortunately, it's a lie.

The truth is that we will tax the "rich" so that we can turn around and give that money to the REALLY, REALLY RICH in the form of kick-backs, pay-outs, and backroom deals...NONE of which will help the people our legislators are claiming to help.

This is not a secret. It's a trend. And it won't stop until America wakes up and puts an end to it.

The truth of the matter is that the vast majority of people (we can call them "sheep" for the sake of argument) aren't going to wake up and pay attention to what is going on in this country until they actually start to feel the pain in their bank accounts and wallets. Early Americans living in the colonies spent decades tolerating tyranny because King George III had not yet made the colonists' lives painful and unbearable enough. Once they could no longer afford the basic necessities of life, they began to speak out and rise up. Samuel Adams was considered insanely radicaI for the nearly two decades he fought tyranny before his fellow Americans started standing behind him. The question we face now is how long it will take for our fellow countrymen to realize that we're not a bunch of political whack-o's. I pray it's not too long...there will come a point when intervention will be too late.

Clown...Now that's the truth. It just goes to show us all what a laughable joke Congress has become. It's so funny...I could just cry. I imagine our Founding Fathers are doing exactly that right now...

Natalie Mehra of the Ontario Health Coalition seems to acknowledge that people are waiting and waiting to be seen by gov't run clinics, and that those with money are jumping out of the system to be seen a lot faster by private clinics. And she's saying this as though the private clinics are BAD?!?!

This is why SociaIism doesn't work. People who run the system cannot see the forest for the trees. They think THEIR plan works and will be unable to see the overwhelmingly obvious FLAWS in it. And then the propaganda machines start cranking out nonsense like what Mehra is saying, seeing nothing wrong with her statements, and pushing it out upon the people until it becomes a deafening mantra. Eventually the people will discard their own common sense as they have been hypnotized and brainwashed by such dribble.

God help us here in the US...

Maybe this is just another step in the process to convince us all how terrible salty snacks really are for our health, in preparation for healthcare reform.

Salty Snacks --> Increased risk for heart disease and death
Cheetos --> Increased risk for assault

Therefore,

Salty snacks --> bad for Americans --> increased health costs --> Obamacare Plan would have to pay more

And finally,

Increased cost to Obamacare --> tax on salty snacks --> people stop buying them --> no more Cheetos assaults

I wouldn't put it past our current administration to try such a stunt. I mean, really!...
If they'll pass C&T and continue pushing the Healthcare bill....they'll try just about anything.
