My mum's fave expression about me (after "you're hard as nails" not in a flattering way) was also "You don't suffer fools gladly."

LOL. Yesterday my dad was telling the doc about me questioning some treatment and changing his homecare provider. He bluntly stated "She doesn't take any shit from anyone." Gales of laughter all around. I felt rather proud.

Ugh, that sounded like so much fun until... *that part.*

Yeah, practically any citrus fruit we get in Kansas in the winter is tasteless and leathery compared to the fresh ones I got in CA, TX and FL.

No worries here, I'm still a volatile asshole at times.

I know!
Going to a warehouse grocery is hardly minimal, tho', don't discount how all that light/people/stimulation is exhausting, plus the drive there and back.

Once I sat still and considered how many hours I was out and about, it all made sense. Starting out dealing with the foundling at 9am, getting to Daddy's by 10, lunch with him, carrying a case of Boost in (what was I thinking?), then more errands after our short break. So, altogether 8.5 hours on the go, it's no wonder.
I'm sure your day looked pretty close to that as well as carrying grocerbibbles in.
