Couple of things that make Super Target awesome.

1. Did you know the Target deli has salads? My favorite is the California Grilled Chicken Salad. It has a lots of lettuce and is topped with grilled chicken breast, goat cheese, dried cranberry's & walnuts. Not bad for $3.95 (and occasionally on sale for $3.50).

2. My local Target Starbucks only charges the refill price (.50) when you bring your clean refillable Starbucks cup from home.

3. Where else can you buy groceries, electronics & car parts at the same place? Well, maybe Wal-Mart, but who wants to go there? :)

My wife and I went through Jerry Jenkins "Loving Your Marriage Enough To Protect It" several years ago with a couples small group. During the study my wife and I agreed on several "hedges" to protect our marriage. This is certainly one of them.

If you are married, then this isn't about church rules. It is about proactively protecting your marriage.

Casting Crowns has a song titled "Slow Fade". The song speaks to this issue directly:

It's a slow fade when black and white are turned to gray
Thoughts invade, choices made, a price will be paid
When you give yourself away
People never crumble in a day
Daddies never crumble in a day
Families never crumble in a day

I love my family and if putting a hedge up in some areas will help us stay together for the long term, then I'm willing to do so.

You mentioned movies or music previously. Those are good examples. We push outward on our expenses & finances. We push the envelope with our language, our character & our morality. Churches are doing this with cross-over music & edgier programs designed to attract people on the fringe.

At the same time, I don't want to be misunderstood. Going out onto the fringe is necessary to reach the lost. We can't sit in a circle with walls around it because that is not what Christ did or called us to do. But in the midst of going out onto the fringe, we sometimes decide we like it there and decide to stay. If others stay with us, then we think that becomes the center again.

I'm probably talking in circles, but know that God is showing me something through this and I just need to sit on it and learn from Him about life on the fine line & our need to live in the world, but not be of the world.

Agreed Joe. But scripture is silent on many, many topics. It is in those areas that we seem to push out rather than in. While it doesn't seem to make sense in the big picture, that is what believers are doing. We push outwards on "gray" areas and as long as our brothers are beside us, everything seems okay. But is it?

20 or 30 would have been a dream. I was hoping for more than 1! Thanks for the encouragement.

I'm definitely better at building than maintaining! I own about 30-40 domains, most of them were purchased in the wee hours of the morning after I woke up with a great "new idea"!

Thanks for reading & have a blessed day!
