I agree with this - there is a lot of material in other topics I am leaving on the table. For instance, today would have been a great day to do a roundup post of today's Mobile World Congress news in the tech category, but I used my one post for the day.

I see your point, but while Commenter Draft and Open Thread posts have some similarities, there is a significant difference in that off-topic messes is up a bit. Open is supposed to be open, a draft is supposed to be a steady succession of items. Combo-breakers are frowned upon, or at least sideways-smiled.

DO NOT make posts with just a single link/video and not much else. This isn’t Twitter. Put some time and effort into your posts.

Yet another sincere question: Sometimes there are comment-centric posts that usually not have much OP content, but are designed to instigate and facilitate massive discussion or contribution, i.e., a [commenter draft]. I've been actually wanting to do one of these per week. They are fun for all participants. Would this type of post be a a DO NOT under the above guidelines?
