ROS may be one of the greatest of his era on the table, however off the table he is not a likeable character. This is another example of his woeful attitude to his fellow professionals & the game that has made him a "star" and provided him with such a comfortable living. It's clear he wants to have his cake & eat it.
Snooker under Hearn's leadership had never been in a better place. More tournaments giving more opportunity for players to play & earn and importantly removing th elitism from the game.
The tour in terms of quality & ability has never been as strong or as competitive as it is right now.
ROS is not well liked amongst his peers so he's going to struggle to find players to join his proposed breakaway.
Doubt they'd get it in all honesty.
Moot point as Mick's brief is qualification for the Euros. Should we make it, Kenny inherits a squad full of confidence out to impress a new manager, I fail to see the problem or negativity.
He's been brought in to ensure qualification for Euro 2020, it's as simple as that
Given Mick's own background & personality I would have more confidence in him to resolve this issue than either of the dynamic duo before him.
As I see it Robbie's appointment is purely for PR purposes. I say this as the likes of Lee Carsley, Steven Reid & Mark Kennedy are all more accomplished coaches than Robbie yet do not seem to have considered for the role - as far as I know.
Well said Seany. It's better than the tripe being offered by the dynamic duo. Other side of this announcement is the v Irish footballing public showing their aversion to change.
Can you elaborate on what is stupid about giving 1 man a defined scope & responsibility then a 2nd man the next chapter of the scope & responsibility? This happens in industries the world over on a daily basis
Are you surprised given the reaction on these comments sections from a cohort of the world's greatest fans??
And where is your evidence to back up your comment? It doesn't exist. It's your opinion, which is your prerogative to have, however there is no basis to it.
The FAI deserve to be called clueless over many issues, this however certainly isn't one of them.
