sad news, Yah Mo B There one of my all time favourite songs and James's voice among the very best of his genre.

I like the tribute saying he has joined the Celestial Choir. RIP.

Sloppy from City and in the end they got what they deserved, Newcastle held them up well and picked them off too easily.

Will have to do a lot better in their next few matches and hope other results go in their favour. Still a lot of time before the title is decided and all teams will be fighting for every point as Newcastle did tonight.

I can't see him not wanting to stay even if his game time is limited with injuries and even if offered short term contracts. I don't think too many City fans want him to leave and certainly would not want him to be forced out.

Kompany has a lot of interests in the Manchester area and is widely respected. Coaching with the club might be another option as happened with Vieira, who in fairness did not achieve what Kompany has as a City player .

That's the only tie that guarantees a PL team a place in the 6th Round. With no replays there could be some more shocks in store in round 5. Hopefully it won't be City on the receiving end of one of them like they were at the same stage last season.

whatever happens there is one certainty, they won't get the same support from the Forest owners that they did from the FAI if results aren't good.

Job done and perhaps a little more comfortably than expected. De Bruyne coming back to form at the right time which is an obvious positive and hopefully the winning run will continue on Tuesday. Not sure though it will be as easy and looking at the changes Rafa made for the cup today, it was obvious which game he was prioritising.

When you hear Hazard's reaction to his manager's criticism, it does seem certain players don't care about the team they play for and they will do what is right for them. Hazard's ongoing saga with whether he stays has to be a problem in the dressing room as was Sanchez at Arsenal.

Hopefully Guardiola will give the youngsters who played their part in a number of games that saw City getting to the final, the opportunity to play in it.

Muric, Garcia, Foden & Zinchenko, I'd be thinking deserve that chance regardless of who they may meet and it will be beneficial for the development of the squad as a whole.

Ridiculous amounts of money has been spent on footballers by Man City but not just by them, nor was it them who started the madness in regard to transfer fees we are seeing now. It was in the game well before the new owners of City took charge.

Where have I denied that they haven't spent money? How do you think that makes me look silly? How in god's name am I a beneficiary? As for being on a high ground - it's obvious you consider me well below you! Not that I'm too mithered about that.

not actually the current squad - it was officially reported that the €800 million was calculated on players at the club at the end of 2016/17. It wasn't net spend either. Purely the actual transfer fee paid for each player. I know you like referring to net spend - this season to date City have spent £3.6 million.

On a side note, who or what did you blame for the 26 occasions that City didn't win the league since 1990?
