The Toast has gotten me through a sudden move to a strange place, buying a house, selling a house, and getting ready to move again. Through my dad's diagnosis with terminal cancer. Through beginning to write publicly. Through loneliness and friend problems.

Most importantly, it has been a place where I always felt like "hey, my people"when I didn't have that in real life where I lived. So important. So crucial. What a wonderful way for me to feel like I am not the weird one out and there are tons of people like me.
