We had a lot left over, too. I ended up purging a bunch before our baby girl was born to make room for wooden ones. A lot of our plastic toys end up breaking pretty quickly anyway, so I prefer to keep the clutter out :) It somehow always manages to accumulate anyway!

Thank you so much! I hope she likes them later on! We have been loving all things pumpkin - I miss the pumpkin overload from when I lived in the US so I try to add some fun themed works to our shelves to make up for it ;)

:) Thanks! I love them, too - I grew up living near the beach in Russia, so seeing little things like seashells really reminds me of my childhood.

Thank you! It's definitely a challenge to try! This was both a challenging, but fun post to put together! I loved seeing how many ways we could use something so simple!

Thank you so much! I know in the end we'll be doing whatever is best for the baby and I, but I really learned after my injury to make sure I understand what is happening to my body and why. Luckily, this problem is now resolved and we have our answers (these posts are a few weeks behind how far along I actually am), but it was frustrating without the clarity on something that seems so huge. It's just so important to advocate for yourself/your body :)

We're so excited for it, too! I'm so anxious to start getting things ready, but we are really waiting to make sure we know the sex. Little baby clothing is just so cute though, I can't wait to get shopping :)

Thank you!!! It's pretty tough to let go sometimes! I struggle a lot with it outside, even if we are just in our yard, I get so worried about falling or climbing. It's usually unnecessary but I really need to remind myself to just step back. I'm almost always pleasantly surprised :)

Thank you so much Katherine!!! I cannot agree more! It's so important to have faith in our kids! My husband says that to me all the time, too and he doesn't know anything about Montessori beyond what I tell him (ironically, when we talk about parenting and raising kids, I feel like I'm talking to Maria herself haha). Anyway, I sometimes find it quite difficult to sit back, and I love that in those moments, he tells me just to trust him and stop worrying. He's always right and if I would have intervened, we would miss beautiful moments like our kiddo using a drill :)

Hm, that's a really tough/long question about Y helping me. In the beginning, he was pretty cautious rather than wanting to help really. When I was in the rehabilitation centre, he was able to stay the night with me alone and that was really wonderful practice for both of us, but also a sort of scary and strange environment for him. By the time I got home, we had figured out a way to do things though and he was more needy than anything else. Before I was injured, he was very, very intent on being independent, but the first few months after I was home, he really insisted that I take care of him again actually. Now that I'm pregnant though, he is REALLY insistent on doing things for me like pushing my wheelchair (leading to a few collisions with a wall hah).
