It should be that way so everytime I want to go to another website or access my tabs, I don't have to keep changing the orientation, especially when watching videos. They at least seem to be headed in that direction with IE9 [Minus the transparency].

I have a beef with ui decisions like this, since I have a Focus. I don't like it how buttons are so far apart that I have to keep shifting the phone in my hand to get to them.

To adjust the volume on my Zune, all I do is press a button and swipe to my heart's content. Most of the time, I don't even have to look at the screen.

With my Focus, the buttons are positioned all the way at the top of the screen. The Zune implementation was better. Better yet, why not just have the buttons at the side of the device on either side of the screen. Having them at the top doesn't make any sense. My Zune HD's screen may not be big, but I loved how it maintained one-handed-usability and was so easy to use. The biggest mistake with Windows phone could have easily been adding the search and back buttons, compared to how the Zune HD's ui works.
