Let's take a look at some recent numbers to compare how Iowa votes.

The 2004 Presidential Election:

USA: Bush 50.7%, Kerry 48.3%
Iowa: Bush 49.9%, Kerry 49.23%

The 2000 Presidential Election:

USA: Bush 47,9%, Gore 48.4%
Iowa: Bush 48.22%, Gore 48.54%

The 1996 Presidential Election:

USA: Dole 40.7%, Clinton 49.2%
Iowa: Dole 39.92%, Clinton 50.26%

The 1992 Presidential Election:

USA: Bush 37.4%, Clinton 43%
Iowa: Bush 37.27%, Clinton 43.28%

You can plainly see that Iowans end up voting very similarly to the percentage outcome in the overall Presidential election.

I giggle at the stupidity of the tech reports on this site..... I don't want the government in the internet , but we must have removal of the current ISP monopolies so that the free market can dictate winners and losers.
if grandma sends pictures in her emails totalling 10GB per month, or i watch netflix totaling 10Gb per month, should the ISP be allowed to charge me more ? yes, but i should also have the opportunity to leave the ISP for a competitor. too many cable / telecom monopolies make it bad for everyone. if ISP's treat all bits the same and there will be no need for net neutrality.

FALSE ! "there are exactly ZERO Net Neutrality violations currently occurring. " there most certainly are if you are a time warner or comcast internet cable user. bits are not treated equally on their network and while i hate government involvement, the only other option is to break up the government sanctioned monopolies .
if you guys are going to write about technology, please hire someone who had an actual understanding of the issue.

and yes , your ISP may soon be intercepting your traffic unbeknownst to you http://corp.sonic.net/ceo/2011/08/11/the-five-lev...

software patents are doing more harm then google is. remove the patent system and go back to software copyrights and all will be well again. I find it very funny that microsoft railed against software patents early on until they had acquired a large amount of them, then they rallied for software patents. now they are getting bit by their own snake as software patents are killing innovation.

If Google had given equally to republicans, this issue would never have come up.

if we want to end google domination , then we must end software patents and go back to software copyrights. software patents are killing innovation and keeping competitors from getting into the market.
