Yes Sir, I agree 100%. I love reading what you said, it read it several times and it makes perfect sense. Col., what are you to do? My voice has not been heard, even standing in the pouring rain My President is so stuck in his self and snobby, he could not lower his means to even listen. My Senator hasn't read one letter I sent him, I know by his responses, i never agree and his letter says "I agree with you 100% and that is why..." I am afraid, I would write our President myself, but I am afraid of the retaliation I may receive. I am afraid for me, my children and most of all my grand children. His books that he wrote showed strong prejudice towards white American's, his apologys over seas confirmed it. I am afraid he is no different then the President of Iran. I fear the books I read, the Library I love, the music I listen to, the weight I have gained with Lupus and RA, the medical treatments I may lose, My Job, My husbands job (28 years as a car technician at a Pontiac dealership), I fear of process of elimination, I fear for my grand babies most of all. What are we to do? He is eventually going to retaliate against us, either some way or another he will eventually silence us and FOX. He can not let the truth be known, because his brainwash techniques have been working so well. I get myself so upset sometimes, I can't sleep. You should run for President yourself, or congressmen, we need Smart experienced men like you Sir, one who served his country because he loved his country. You would have my vote. God Bless you sir and please keep writing.

Atlas Shrug all over again. My friends mother also lives in a government controlled health care country, she just turned 85 and is no longer eligible for service, basically, written off as dead. Question? Why does Michael J. Fox come to America for his Parkinson Disease? Isn't he from Canada? He used to fight for stem cell research here in D.C., Did he ever fight for it in Canada?

With Heath care there is no easy answer. But I have a suggestion: I suggest "Plus" health care for adults should be ran by the states, like the Chip programs the states already have. Each states needs are different for this would help obtaining a budget for the program. Leave private health care alone. Set some pricing rules ex: when you take your car to a dealer to have service done, there is a mantel that tells you how much time you can charge for that service, no more and no less. Why can not they come up with a code book of pricing such as GM or Ford. It is basically the same oil change .15 in time, ear infection .15 in time. This will regulate a more reasonable pricing scale for the health care providers and the insurance companies. I have Lupus and RA and government health care scares the bejesus out of me. I don't want the government to tell me what med's I can take or not, that is if I don,t get bumped at the doctors office because I am not as productive in my earnings as a healthy person, see a healthy person can work 40 hrs. a week and pays more into taxes then me at the min. of 30 hrs. a week, I work just enough hours to keep my benefits. That is what scares me the most. For us God fearing folks in my circle we really do not approve of government health care, social medicine does not work have we not learned that from the other countries who have it or tried it. Many get lost through the cracks the same as they do rate now. Only rate now an emergency room can't turn you away, but a government controlled health care can if they are told to do so. Have you ever been to the DMV they do it all the time rate at 5:00.

My library in Delaware lacks most of the books I have requested like the 5000 Year Leap, The series about the Presidents that Glenn recommended and a few others. I don't know if it is because of this state being Biden's state and they pulled them or our library just stinks. I have requested for them to get these books and I was told the budget has been cut due to the economy. I still use the library and try to find what I am interested in, but I have to admit I have been disappointed on my loss of not reading such a good book. My Hub is a mechanic at a GM dealer of 28 years and business is really bad, I work at an engineering firm and have been cut back to 30 hours a week. Buying the book rate now is out of the question but i have my eyes peeled on free cycle and all the second hand stores. God Bless Us all and Happy Easter.

I just got this book from the Library after a long waiting list, after reading your post I can not wait to get started on reading it. To think this book was written so long ago is what makes it more amazing. Time may past but it is up to us to make sure History doesn't stay in the past. I have to also say I never before paid much attention to reading about the History of our country, more than what I learned as a child, but Glenn and the 912Project has me hooked and as I read about each President I want to learn more, I am on Thomas Jefferson and have read 3 books so far about him with 1 more to go, then I will move on to the next President. My husband even laughs at me for he was the one who always helped the kids with their homework, but now that they are grown and out of the house the library has become my best friend. God Bless and keep posting the references on the good books so I will know what ones I need to get. GOD BLESS AND HAPPY EASTER

I have so many bull crap letters from Senator Carper that make me sick. Some of them, by his response, did not even reflect my opposition - ex: they stated "I to agree in your support....." which all my letters where opposing not supporting... They don't care about WE THE PEOPLE... They only care about appeasing their Party. I don't understand why they are so afraid to oppose their party. I just wished for once Sen. Carper would listen to someone other than his party. All I can do is Pray and Hope. Hopefully on the 15th they will listen, but something tells me they won't. God Bless us All. God Bless America.

The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag,

"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.",

should be rendered by standing at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. When not in uniform men should remove their headdress with their right hand and hold it at the left shoulder, the hand being over the heart. Persons in uniform should remain silent, face the flag, and render the military salute.

God Bless America! Amen.

Vanished Soldiers: American Heroes Come Home
http://www.michaelyon-online.com/
By Joseph L. Galloway | McClatchy Newspapers

As with so much in life and in death, there was news this week that was joyous and sad and bittersweet all at once for the small community of the Vietnam War’s band of brothers of the Ia Drang Valley.

Early in the morning of December 28, 1965, a U.S. Army Huey helicopter, tail number 63-08808, lifted off from the huge grassy airfield at the 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile) base at An Khe in the Central Highlands of South Vietnam.

Two experienced pilots, CWO Jesse Phelps of Boise, Idaho, and CWO Kenneth Stancil of Chattanooga, Tenn., were at the controls. Behind them in the doors were crew chief Donald Grella of Laurel, Neb., and door gunner Thomas Rice Jr. of Spartanburg, S.C. All four were already veterans of the fiercest air assault battle of the war, fought the previous month in the Ia Drang.

Huey 808 was one of 10 birds in a platoon of A Company, 229th Assault Helicopter Battalion, led by Capt. Ed (Too Tall to Fly) Freeman. It was bound on a short, routine flight down Route 19 to an infantry field position just over the high pass between An Khe and the port city of Qui Nhon.

It was what Army aviators called an "ash and trash mission," hauling cases of C-rations, ammunition and other essential supplies to a company of grunts preparing for an air assault mission.

Normally, all missions were flown by at least two helicopters, but this one was so brief and so routine and along a route so well known and marked by the center white line of a familiar highway that Capt. Freeman and his boss, Maj. Bruce (Ol' Snake) Crandall, already at the Landing Zone with the rest of A Company's 20 helicopters, agreed to waive that requirement and let 808 fly alone.

With that, 808 flew off the face of the earth. It disappeared without a word on the radio of distress or trouble. The helicopter was gone, and a massive search effort began almost immediately and continued for months, both as an organized and methodical search and by individual Huey pilots who flew anywhere near that route.

For weeks, they combed the rugged jungle hills on both sides of the road and on both sides of the mountain pass. Choppers hovered over every break in the tree cover peering down if they could see or sending crewmen rappelling down ropes to look around clearings that were not easily checked from the air.

They found nothing. The Huey and its four crewmen had vanished.

The families of the crewmen joined the ranks of those who wait for news, for hope, for some closure of an open wound. More than 1,600 American servicemen are still listed as missing in action in Vietnam.

Was that part of the Pork in the Stimulus package..... Why in the world would he need 500 people? How many are from ABC NBC and CBS? This is totally absurd. This will be a long long 4 years. We need a lot of Patience, which I have already lost.
