I am hoping that her push for a "truth commission" will backfire on her and the others who are being so hypocritical.

I just sent this message to the AFA Activist site... Maybe we should all make this same appeal.

"I appreciate your enthusiasm regarding the July 4 Tea Party events but I have a request.

There is a lot of grassroots concern that having any focused group sponsoring and putting their stamp on the tea party movement will take away from the original We the People force behind it.

I thing it is wonderful that your organization is supporting this movement. It would be wonderful to have your considerable membership participate in the rallies. But! If your group sponsors the events, it may cause the media to write it off as another special interest group event. They've already tried to take that stand with the FOX News network. They are looking for ways to excuse this whole movement and to push it aside. It's important that they know that the Tea Party movement is CITIZEN driven.

Thanks for hearing me out and I hope you will consider what I've said and the spirit in which I've said it."

I agree with everyone else... we should not be sponsored by anyone. Organizations should feel free to attend and be counted, as a group if they wish, but "sponsorship" has the same ring to it as "lobbyist" does! This is not what this group is about.

Along with sponsorship comes an agenda focused on that particular group. Let's appeal to them to back off this idea.

I agree also! They're all working on the same agenda... big government, lots of taxes to fund their future campaigns, and We the People are the losers! The only difference is that one party is more blatant (and arrogant IMO) than the other.

It's up to us!

Several months ago I copied the oaths that the military and the Congress takes (as well as the one that O took, sort of) to a sticky note on my Mac's desktop. I look at it all the time to remind me why they need to go. I totally believe that the ride will get rough. I am ready. Or pretty much as ready as a civilian can be.

I've been reading the posts that you've made (on your profile page) I'm glad that you feel that the Marines (& hopefully the rest of the military) will be on the side of "we the people" when the tide comes in! I've always hoped that you (those in the military service) are truly Patriots and that you will support the Constitutional rights of citizens first and foremost. It sounds from your previous posts that you are standing firmly on that premise/promise. I certainly hope there are many more of you.

I'm now thinking that what sounded like anger was more sheer frustration! I can understand that.

Now how many people are you wanting to alienate by getting so angry about this? The purpose of the Tea Parties is to make more people aware that there IS a problem in our country!

I'm totally amazed at some of the things I hear from people who are genuinely unaware of what is happening. We are just trying to make more people aware.

That doesn't mean that we are not preparing for the trouble that lies ahead. My two biggest concerns right now are 1) too many people are oblivious and will continue to support the idiocy/ideology that IS our current government 2) getting my stuff together to survive whatever may come. The first thing is why I'm going to support the Tea Parties and the second thing is going on, constantly, in the background.

by the way, yes, I'm storing food, acquiring defenses, and I'm handing out copies of "Obama Deception" and generally passing along the word to anyone who will listen to me to do the same.

I'm afraid you entirely missed my point. I am a regular visitor to infowars, prison planet, conspiracy planet, etc. I receive "brasscheck" updates and follow my representatives activities by watching the legislation they are proposing/supporting/voting on and communicate with them regularly.

So now, I'm also going to two Tea Parties as well. Would you prefer that I stay home and plan a violent attack on Washington?

I just think that so many people are just coming around to understanding that our lack of involvement is causing the problems we are now seeing and they all need a starting point! Give them a chance to get up to speed (which I think is a good beginning) and maybe we'll get a force together that DC will have to reckon with! Is that so bad?
