My theory is that she's from the *original* history of the Time Lords. Then the alliance (whatever it is) sent the Timeless Child back in time to stop the Cybermen and it rewrote Gallifrey's history. It might've even been done by a lowly Rassilon so that he could take control of Gallifrey from the beginning. I wonder if Davros is the timeless child - a genius sent back in time and designed to create a counterweight to the Cybermen. The lie is that the Time Lords crafted a threat more terrible than the Cybermen but refused to give up their power to undo it.

The arc is going to be the original Time Lords and Doctor attempting to reassert their version of history.

I had the thought that if Davros is the timeless child, it puts Genesis of the Daleks in a different light. The Time Lord in a business suit who intercepts the Doctor and tasks him with stopping the Daleks before their creation is actually from the original time line. It was a desperate last shot at undoing the changes before he was wiped from existence. That's why he didn't show up again after the Doctor didn't go through with it.

In any case, I think her being an incarnation of the original timeline's Doctor is going to be the way they're going thread the needle. She's a completely legitimate incarnation of the one and only real Doctor - it's everyone else, Hartnell to Whitaker, who are the fakes.

I've generally interpreted Kurisu's background as being someone who skipped several grades and is already a graduate student at 18.

The fight with Bradley towards the end of the episode is an anime trope where, generally, two combatants charge at each other, there's a strike as they pass each other and you don't know who was hit until a few beats later. Often, they'll get a few final words out before they split in two or whatever.

In this case, if you look closely after the strike, Bradley's sword is suddenly in his hand. He drew his blade and cut down his opponent faster than the eye could see.

It's definitely a "throw you in the deep end" type opening but you shouldn't worry. I had seen the original anime before this so I was obviously fine. However, there are lots of reactors on YouTube who have not and they've all been able to follow everything just fine too.

You really just need to know the who the two main characters and the villain are and you're good to go as far as DR3 goes.

Will you watch it subbed or dubbed?

Sarek was not a great parent to either Michael or Spock.

Also, I love that Vulcan suicide bombers explain the rightness of their logic to you before detonating. Perfect.

Danganronpa is that rare series that's better with each sequel so you're in for a trip.

I've been watching bits and pieces of usedpizza on Twitch. He's done a blind playthrough of 1 &2 and is working his way through 3 and he's had some pretty great reactions.
