Derf, this is one thing I like about you. Most of the regulars here are respectful and can give an effective rant without focusing on race. But the semi-regulars or first time visitors get rather ridiculous with the racial remarks sometimes and you do a really good job of dealing with it. You inspire me to be better and I thank you for that.

After writing more than 5,000 stories on the subject of idiotic behavior, I feel like I'm pretty well qualified to say - stupidity is an equal opportunity employer.

I updated the story, he was flown to two hospitals where he is in stable but critical condition. So yes, this is the last mugshot the Sheriff's Office has on file from a previous arrest.

Mick, home spa bath salts are not anything like the street drug. The drug version of bath salts contains mephedrone, MDPV (Methylenedioxypyrovalerone), and methylone. You wont see those chemicals on a carton of store bought bath salts.

Hi Erica, nice to see you. I've decided not to run the Luka Magnotta case until he is caught since he is intentionally using media to bring attention to himself and his sick fetishes.

I've seen both videos. The dismemberment video and the kitten video.... I strongly advise anyone who hasn't seen the murder video to avoid doing so. Watching someone have their limbs sawed off and then sexually abused is a level of Gore I don't want to draw attention to. Plus, it encourages this maniac to perpetrate additional crimes, just as the Ukranian boys did with the video "Three Guys, One Hammer". When that video was uploaded to the internet, those boys went on to murder more than 20 innocent people. Let's home Luka Magnotta is arrested long before it comes to that.

Hi Chesh. To answer your question, yes, the website is set to refresh every 10 minutes. Many news sites are using an automatic page refresh to help keep their sites up to date Comments are updated, our widgets get updated, our banner ads get rotated and your computer runs better with a reload of the graphics.

But I agree with you, our 10 minute reload is probably too fast, considering our stories are sometimes a little complex and it takes time to get through all of them.

I am going to set it back to 20 minutes and see how that works for most people. Please try that out and let me know if it makes a big difference.
