You should have stopped at "this is wrong." Because after that statement, nothing else really matters. A lot of boys are having sex at 17, true enough. But kids aren't forced by law to attend school to provide teachers with sleeping partners. "Wrong" should be all it takes.

It's not about whether the kid knew what he was doing or not. It's about what the teacher shouldn't be doing. If the law requires my kids to be in school, then the same legal system has a duty to make sure they aren't getting shagged by their teacher.

Just because a 17 year old has the physical parts and the know how to have sex does not mean they are emotionally equipped to deal with having this type of a relationship with an authority figure, whether it be a step parent, a teacher, a coach or what not.
