I keep trying, too, and I can't enter, either. It is a bit bothersome. I cleared my cache, all diy cookies, and even used a registry cleaner (be very careful with those, by the way, they're great, but they can definitely over clean) to tidy everything up. I hope it's worked out soon.

As someone that's had only upper shelves, only upper cabinets, and a combination of both, for me, cabinets win out every time. While I loved having both at the same time, if I had to choose, I'd go for cabinets over the strictly decorative shelves anytime. I live in VA, and dust is a problem (and I have cats, so pet hair is another consideration). Anything you store on those shelves will have to be cleaned before you can use it (crockery, etc.), and that's in addition to your normal dusting. It's just less convenient for me.

I do like this week's choices, though the title (landscaping?) is a bit of a head scratcher. I'm not really voting for some of the most popular items this week, that's for sure.

I love the green and the brown paint, though I do like the brown a bit more than the green. I also had a hard time with the board and batton and the shingles, because I've always like b&b. I settled on the shingles because they fit my idea of our "cabin" a bit more. I also love the z shutters, though, I am definitely in the majority on that one. :-) As for the doors, I simply can't stand the thought of that many windows on the door. I'm one of those people that keep my blinds half down (of course that's only because I don't want to seem like a hermit or a serial killer), and when I win (think positive!) that'll be the first thing I change. I love the stone arts and crafts columns and the masonry mailbox, so I'm right in the mainstream for those, though I'm on the fence about about maybe just getting a metal mailbox because I like a great big mailbox to have room for packages. And speaking of fences (intentional segue, there), Every home I've lived in has had a split rail fence. I love those things. When we lived in NC, and when we moved to VA, that was one of the first upgrades we did to our houses. I guess I'm country through and through, and my choices are, as well. I'm sure the majority picks will be beautiful, though and I look forward to seeing it.

Well, I'll have to say this is going in a direction I wondered if we'd head in. I had a vague niggling that we may not get a finished basement. Surely there will be some "cleaning up" though, if not any real work to it.

I'm trying hard to be positive and just wait and see. I'm sure it'll be great...

I have to say I'm not thrilled with the choices, either, and I must say I'm not sure why we weren't given the opportunity to vote on some other things - paint color, particularly.

I'm not absolutely certain I'm thrilled to death about this new direction, but I am thrilled. Re-building instead of building just seems a little bit less "special", I guess, and seems more like any other show you can find on DIY.

I love the acreage, and while it is in "Yankee" country, it looks beautiful there! I may have to overcome my southern prejudice for the north after all. :-)

Overall, I'm very excited. It will just take a bit of getting used to, that's all...

Where, or where could it be?????

I like just about any show on decorating, and I also like the show "Haulin' House". It boggles my (admittedly) not overly logical mind to hear them say things like thousands of tons and 40 + miles in the same sentence. :D

I seem to be having a very hard time waiting for the 2010 BC. ;) I'm full of "wonder where" and "what" and "how"'s. Fingers crossed it's on the East Coast somewhere. (Sorry the rest of the country, I love it here. :D )
