AWww, thank you. I really had no basis or right to say such a thing! I need to duct tape my fingers shut and go back to bed. I'd so love to be able to "case the joint" with you :) I vacationed in Friendship a decade or so ago...loved Maine, abso LOVED Maine. Of course that was summer...I have read and re-read -decades ago, mind-an old book called "We Took to the Woods" by, I believe, Louise Dickinson Rich. Makes me want to come explore for oh, a dozen years or so.

Lisa, I really wonder if the voting's more or less a huge sham, I suspect they've already completed the work before they list the choices!

I wish I could give you one thousand thumbs up! I've already similarly addressed this in my reply to Clive. Rant over? I think we "crazy cyber stalkers" should maybe OCCUPY DIY.

Yes, Clive, and we should not be surprised. Does anyBloggie still believe that the bloggers "design" -or have any real input to- the so-called cabin? By restricting the "vote choices" the cabin is designed to the preferences of DIY&affiliates. Remember that multicolored glass tile that was "voter's choice" last year for the MBR? The only place it was actually used, as I recall, is one narrow strip behind the basically hidden commode. I really think the voting is basically another way for DIY to capture income, via massive product surveys.

Hello Camac :) It's so great to have you on-the-scene, and I wanted to let you know how much it's appreciated. Now if we could just add our superSleuth Kathy Seals to the Twinkie team...oh and golly, if only we had LilB to drive your getaway van. I thought I'd send over a nice gift basket to get you all geared up...you know, large fancy hats, chiffon scarves, big shiny purses to better effect the ditzy 50's style undercover personas I envision for you.... Inside the purses you will find tiny Spycams that transmit to equipment in your van. Of course the van will also be incognito: my painters will be there to apply a nice, discreet, fender-to-fender SpinnMakers wrap. Your picnic basket is nicely packed with delicious Southern-fried chicken, Momma's potato salad, Buttermilk biscuits, and Sweet Tater Pie... :D Enjoy!

Clive, honest to good Saint Pete, I wish they'd make a Blogger Consultant position on the job, and let you put your wise words directly into the ear of the person in charge. ( I was gonna say brain but...) I can't remember you EVER giving bad advice, and I've been onblog since I think 2007.
