yeah, but they used the JerrySIM exploit to do that, which has been fixed since after the 1.45.00 baseband.

if they were able do use your bootstrapper idea there, then that would indicate that they could run unsigned code at boot, in which they could just use a patched iboot :)

afaik devteam doesn't normally moderate comments as Zibri did that and they don't want to e viewed that way, trying to "censor" people. (most people's comments, apparently mine get moderated though o.O but other people say that theirs aren't)

incorrect. dev could have their tool send a 2.1.1 iBEC or iBSS to the device after telling you to put it into DFU mode, the device would accept it since it is a signed apple firmware file, and there you go. and before you ask, no, it will not downgrade you, or anything on the device.
