The lyrics of that song make no damned sense (the Wilson Phillips one)

Absolutely. JD Vance is a typical Christian Prosperity Profit. In his mind, Jesus rewards the righteous so it makes sense (in his mind) that he is so successful.

Hillbilly Elegy is pull-yourself-up-by-your-bootstraps porn for people who don't understand systemic poverty and how the opiod crisis is destroying those areas. When I was a kid, There were lots of jobs in my hometown - glass factory, steel, CSX railroad, among others. They all went out of business or moved. Much of the supposed laziness or "wrong thinking" Vance sees is the result of hopelessness and poverty. People in Appalachia are not just lazy. I know many, many people who work their butts off to a degree that is insane.

Don't even get me started on the connection between unemployment, manual labor, injuries, and doctors that over-prescribe opiods. The doctors and the pharmaceutical companies have some major culpability here.

I could slam on JD Vance all day, but there is an Appalachian writer who grasps the reality of life in the area. If you guys are interested, I could write about it.

It's terrifying, isn't it? The vaccine didn't work on me to due to my disease and the medications. We're hoping to switch some things around and try again.

I feel that as a veteran depressive. I think it's harder in the summer because the heat is oppressive. Hugs to you

Cassie Chambers, author of "Hill Women" grew up in rural Appalachia, went on to Ivy League schools, and came home to Kentucky to help people get out of poverty and abuse cycles, often working pro bono.

JD Vance is on Twitter whining about how New York is gross..

Shocking, no? This is what I think happened - the women decided to move to San Francisco and be a couple. He was pretty pissed off. Lindsay went to law school there and I think Vanessa moved elsewhere (It's been awhile since I checked..)

Anthony sent me several apologetic messages. Last year (I think?) He moved to Italy and seems very happy with that decision. from what I can see on social media.

Hi again, Momof3 was encouraging me to write here again. I used to write about crazy people but for some reason, I haven't enjoyed that since 2016.

I will tell you a funny story if you were here back in the days of Polyamory. Anthony, Vanessa, and LIndsay broke up. I think LIndsay went to law school.

Anthony moved to Italy and sent me his phone number.

I'm not entirely sure what I'd write about. Writing about wingnuts does not have the same appeal it did 6 years ago
