Has anyone else heard anything on the idiot CNN reporter? (And it PAINS me to say reporter). I thought I heard that she has mysteriously taken a 'leave of absence/vacation from her CNN (ahem...) 'reporting'. Anyone else hear about whether this is true or not?
And yes, that was extreme sarcasm. In truth, I think Al Gore is the devil in disguise. Although I must say, you'd think the devil could find a better costume......
I would just like to say THANK YOU to Al Gore. If he hadn't of invented the internet, none of us could communicate rapidly with one another. So thanks Al Gore, thanks for inventing the internet for us. :)

Gone...AMEN! These problems start at home quite frequently and in most cases. As a parent, I don't see how in the h*ll its possible for your children to have that kind of arsenal in their bedroom, and not know it!!! Not that they families of the shooters grief should be negated, but I think the parents have to be held somewhat accountable for letting that happen right under their noses. So WHAT if you read their journal?! The parent probably bought it for them anyways. And I fully intend to keep close tabs on my girls in their teenage years (not that I already don't!). But it really won't matter because they're not dating until they're 37 anyways. :)
Rowane T...I totally agree. I have one sister who's a cop, the other is a teacher. I am more concerned about my teacher sister getting harmed than my cop one, sometimes. At least police officers are armed! I absolutely believe teachers should have the right to a firearm at their school. But holy cow....can you imagine democrats response to that. Sheesh, Obama already is against simple prayer in schools.....I think guns in school classrooms would send the man toppling over the far left edge. He dangles on the precipice of that now, I'm afraid.
Smarkin....not to mention the Oklahoma City bombing.19 children were killed that day. I recently visited the national memorial in Oklahoma City. I went at night, and the only word I can use to describe it is haunting. The little empty chairs representing each child murdered that day, glowing softly in the night. It is designed to be serene and in a sense it is. But while these chairs glow for peace for their little souls, we must NEVER forget why a sculpture chair now stands in place, representing the short little lives of these little ones. No, foreign OR domestic terrorism should never be overlooked.
And I pray for all those that have lost someone they love in one of these tragic events. As a mother of two (three on my due date of July 4th), I cannot even imagine the pain a parent must endure with a tribulation such as this. My heart and souls goes out to ALL of them.
I think you have a point that these acts of violence are going to occur, whether we like them or not. But I often wonder, if it weren't for the CONSTANT media hype about gun violence, etc., if we would really be hearing these stories much. I mean to say that while I agree the crime rate has seemingly increased, it could just seem more evident and frequent now due to 24 hour news channels. Ten years ago, it was similar coverage, but not nearly as intense and intrusive reporting as exists now. Just a thought.

How about Millions of people with beliefs? Think of the power in that. Yes, the media may be overlooking and even demonizing us now, but that's okay. Our voices will be heard. I don't think ANY of us expected immediate results. The object is to stay the course. Hold on with this vigilance, and we can make something happen. Our country was formed on the basis of one man's ideas.....and so it shall not be destroyed by one man's manipulations.
AMEN to everyone that went to a tea party today!!! This is just the beginning!!!
