One is playing russian roulette with one's life strolling anywhere NEAR an isolated area/park at 1:30am ALONE. Risky with all the beasts trolling about not only the 4 legged kind but especially the ones with 2 legs that stand upright. Be you man or woman it doesn't matter - ANYONE can become just another victimized statistic, there is safety in numbers. That being said, I hope she has a good support system to see her through her recovery, it's a horrendous situation to be in.
Agree Absolutely that the cause of death to a parent doesn't change the pain of grieving one bit.
I remember being a wee child attending the movie "A Hard Day's Night' and was so livid, couldn't hear 1 word or note because of the screaming that never ceased for 1 second, from the mostly female audience. I can only imagine what the live concerts were like. After reading an incredible Beatles biography (Excellent read by the way - Highly Recommended) by Bob Spitz explains this is why they stopped touring. Because they could never hear themselves play, and it left them utterly frustrated tour after tour. The result was them only staying in the studios making albums. Not to mention endangering their lives, and we know how John Lennon ultimately was murdered.

Tragic on so many levels, they were just being the best chimps they knew how to be. A couple on the loose, and they should have tranked the male instead of outright killing him. People really shouldn't have wild animals in their homes unless in a rural community with serious acreage, and the necessary security precautions in place. To avoid outcomes such as these. RIP little 4ft primate fella. :-(
