Oh, yes. Beka is a Hufflepuff. That doesn't mean that she cannot have, or use, qualities which are more known to belong to members of other Houses.

I cannot believe I read these books as many times as I have and the whole bigness of SPACE MAGIC (and the Hub) was, not ignored, but not comprehended by me for the bigness that it is! Thank you, Mark.

*wiping tears of laughter* I just read Mark's Predictions (and his comments).

later -- after reading all that is posted so far
Question for Mark:
Of all the time periods and places of Tortall (and adjoining lands), if you were given a chance to live there - where and when would you choose?

Tunstall had not chosen wisely.
I feel that Tunstall dying there was the kindest thing that Queen Tammy could have done.
If the prince had been returned to his family (and Tunstall was not caught then) sooner or later the facts would have come out and Tunstall would have been tried and executed. That would have been even more horrifying for all concerned (including her readers).

You are a very good writer. Good is different from Nice. (If the cheeky one sees this post, is it okay to put in that cosplay with the corgi and cap? If so, and i'm not around, would you do it? *halo*)

Mastiff is one of my favorite books ever. I was going to write it is one of my favorite 'Tortall' books, then had to change that to 'Pierce' books and finally realized it is on my shelf of favorite books ever. I wouldn't have said that immediately after I first read it. I think I had to let some time pass and re-read it.

Dear Mark. Has anyone told you you are incredibly awesome and brave to put your feelings right out there in open? Well, I am. (Even if I was waiting for this moment of the book.)(Although still my favorite moment is when Pounce told the gods 'punish me as you will' (something like that) and healed Achoo. I still cry (happy cry) at that part.) :)
Anyway, to Mark <3
