Something interesting I came across about Moist as a character, in the first book he was made Postmaster General and the 'God' statue that represent it was a Hermes alike god, with the wings. Now Hermes most famous association was messages that make sense but he also has a few other roles

Hermes was also the god of thieves, wealth, and travel.

Moist stated off as a thief, became a messenger, then in Makeing Money a banker, and now he works with the Railway.

As for Snuff the book is one of those Discworld books i never re-red after the first time so it will be fun to look at it with fresh eyes.

I LOVE this book, and this bit in particular but one think just occurred to me when Ardent cries 'its a trick' and diamond's voice in the cube says at the same time ' the willful fool will say this is a trick' and if he has herd the cube before why is he saying the worst thing to say to contradict it. But then i thought these dwarfs probably don't know a word of troll, unlike Bashfullson they wouldn't bother to learn it, or tried to stop it speaking when a troll stared after Bloodaxe. Just a interesting tidbit.

I think he actually got sued for plagiarism by the guy who wrote Holy Blood Holy Grail but his response was basically ' your book is a historical textbook like you said, im just using you 'factual book' for my fiction book' and got off. I'm paraphrasing a lot of court stuff tho.
