No, actually it did. you want to talk about rose tinted glasses - We went from 3 day weeks, rolling blackouts and IMF loans to the fastest growing economy in the G8! Austerity maybe has gone too far, bur Brexit's only making it worse....

And judging by what Dyson, Radcliffe... even Rees Mogg are up to - at the end of the day a UK which is isolated and economically irrelevant doesn't appeal to even the most ardent leaver, irrespective of what they say.

... and to think we used to be the party of aspiration and freedoms.... Now you seem to think we should be the party of managed decline? What a great proposition to offer future generations.

(p.s. maybe I am just a traditional tory... but we need our worker to be able to go to Barcelona to finish off their PhDs - it's them who will be starting the businesses or finding the scientific discoveries which bring in the wealth for all of us)

of course he can't... obviously. 'proof' to some people is if it's written on the side of a vote leave bus! Brexit was never about facts or reality, which is why we're in the mess we are now

"95% of all firms have no dealings with the EU. "... I think you'll find 100% of firms, ney, 100% of people in this country have dealings with countries in the EU.

We deal with companies in europe every time we switch the light on, every time we sit in a car, on a bus, train or plane - each time we put on our clothes, turn on the tap, 50% of the food we eat, almost every bit of data from the web, etc etc etc. I could go on for hours.

Again, if vote leave had formulated a serious plan for after the referendum- they'd have won the argument rather than just the vote... burying the head in the sand and pretending "it'll be alright on the night" just isn't serious.

I suspect the reason the country has moved so heavily to remain is because instead of coming up with a coherent, realistic plan to replace the markets where 70% of our trade is done... instead of giving the country a vision for the type of country we'll pass on to our children...

....all he hear from leave is more rubbish about 'bullying'. It's pathetic.

no - but it was only 2 weeks ago she was standing in parliament saying we'd leave on the 30th March... I wouldn't want to think she was a liar - so the only other possible answer is she isn't fully in control of her mind

My parents for starter. They were leave and now think that the whole thing was a sham and prefer to remain. Plenty of posts of facebook too... you never know but you don't seem many proud leavers any more.... and we all know why.

yes - it does seem that way if the former brexiters I know are anything to go by - no one wants Brexit anymore. But we need to do it with a referendum, we can't do it unilaterally.

of course you're right... and obviously every single Brexiteer knows the country has swung decisively against them... which is exactly why they don't want the people to have a vote.

agreed. We need to put Brexit back to the people.
