"Our country is in danger, but not to be despaired of. Our enemies
are numerous and powerful; but we have many friends, determining
to be free, and heaven and earth will aid the resolution. On you
depend the fortunes of America. You are to decide the important
question, on which rest the happiness and liberty of millions
yet unborn. Act worthy of yourselves."

-- Joseph Warren (Boston Massacre Oration, 6 March 1775)

During the Constitutional Convention, Benjamin Franklin (at 81 years old) made his famous plea for prayer:
"In the beginning of the contest with Britain, when we were sensible of danger, we had daily prayers in this room for divine protection. Our prayers, sir, were heard; and they were graciously answered. All of us who were engaged in the struggle must have observed frequent instances of a superintending Providence in our favor. To that kind Providence we owe this happy opportunity of consulting in peace on the means of establishing our future national felicity. And have we now forgotten that powerful Friend? Or do we imagine that we no longer need [His] assistance? I have lived, sir, a long time; and the longer I live the more convincing proofs I see of this truth -- that God governs in the affairs of men. ...."

THE COMMITTEE OF CORRESPONDENCE

A PLAN TO PRESERVE OUR FREEDOM

June 17, 2008

In the next few months there will be several issues for which support in Congress should be mobilized. Among these are:

defeat of amnesty or citizenship for illegals,

defeat of United States integration with Canada and Mexico,

reining in the maverick 9th District Court in San Francisco,

and stopping the dilution of the Bill of Rights Freedoms by Legislation or Executive Order.

We have a plan to mobilize support in Congress through a program of constituent activity (this means we need you!) Please study this plan and if you agree with it, join with us in mobilizing the support in Congress that is already there to preserve our Freedom.
