I'm tired of the sense of entitlement we as Americans are cursed with. The government doesn't owe us anything but to ensure our liberties, afforded us by the Constitution and Bill of Rights. The government works for us. We are the boss. We are not entitled to a house, a car, money for college, welfare or any other government handout. These debilitating programs cripple us as a nation and chip away at the foundation of our freedom. We need to stand on our own two feet and get out of line for our piece of government cheese.

I am attending the Salt Lake City tea party. It will be good to be part of the resistance against stupidity.
I don't think we will start recovering, truly. I do believe, however, that the White House and all the media outlets that have placed their reputations on unwavering Obama support are going to use smoke and mirrors to fool everybody into thinking we are recovering. This approach will fool many, I'm sure. It's easy to fool a fool. Dumb people will get back into the stock market and other investments then it will all fall out from under them. I don't think we will be fooled forever though. Washington, the Fed and the Treasury are all working their hocus pocus right now and trying to make us forget how bad off things really are and will get in the future and the wand waving is surly going to get worse. Don't be a fool, prepare for the worst and you'll be fine.
I think the tea party idea is great. I really wanted to see these kind of demonstrations last year. This seems to be the only way regular citizens have any chance of being heard. Our political "leaders" seem to have lost their minds and are driving our nation into the ground. I hope Washington will start listening to us someday. To be honest, I really don't think even these demonstrations are going to have any sway on Congress or the White House. I think the people have been permanently shut out of the deal of democracy and will probably never be heard again until this country is so divided between "them" and "us" that it rips us apart and some really awful things begin to happen.
I don't want this to be the case but is seems like the only reality.
Charity, by definition can only be offered, not coerced.
