The technology behind Brightwater is impressive. It is a state of the art facility, but the necessity and practicality of it is very questionable.

$147 million Taxpayer dollars. The poster you are replying to has a point. The restrictions, regulations, and endless studies prohibit progress in many cases. Reasonable requirements are one thing, as they keep construction projects from destroying habitat and polluting excessively. But $147 million dollars on studies? Really?!! Why can't they use the previous studies from the I-205 bridge? Why start from scratch on every single project when there is precedences that can be followed?
