I wouldn't call it anything special, just when you go on one of the bigger killing streaks the announcer may say, "This game just got 20 percent cooler." The fact that it's an MLP reference might be why they made the requirement of someone having (I believe) 9 kills in a row.

I'm probably really late about it, but while playing Smite today I learned that one of the announcer packs has an MLP reference.

The moment I heard it I just paused for a while.

I'm pretty sure he does, I believe he's in a few bronies react (Honestly no clue though because I don't watch those) and there's the fact that he has lent his voice in the show and EG3.

I loved Turnabout Storm, that was the first fan project I ever watched when I first became a brony. I remember being really excited for the final part to be released and find out how it was going to end.
